The roots of Within A Relapse trace back to 2016 when John Bishop and Andrew Perkins first crossed paths through a mutual friend. What began as an experimental project soon evolved into a dedicated band. After a few years and experiencing a lineup change with the addition of Jaysin Kelly, the group focused on rehearsing and writing new material, despite not yet taking the stage.

The global pandemic in 2020 presented significant challenges, including a devastating fire at their practice space and other unfortunate setbacks, leading to a hiatus. However, amidst the turmoil, Jaysin introduced the concept of Within A Relapse, laying the groundwork for the band's future.

In 2023, the resurgence began as Jaysin and Andrew recruited a drummer, reigniting the flame of their unyielding spirit. As they plunged back into their music, they brought Adam Hoskins on board in 2024, believing they had finally nailed the lineup. But just when they thought they'd found stability, the journey took another twist with more lineup instability. While in this period it became apparent that John Bishop was available and was invited back, bringing a familiar energy to the band.

As 2025 rolled in, the idea of adding a second guitarist was on the table. After witnessing Adam's impressive guitar skills, the decision was effortless. This led to the search for a new vocalist, which concluded when Nate Haapala reached out to Adam, seeking to claim the role. With relentless dedication, it didn't take long for Nate to prove he was the perfect fit.

Today, Within A Relapse stands strong with a unique sound, fueled by the raw energy of their tumultuous journey. With a renewed lineup and a fierce collection of original material, they are ready to take the stage and share their music with the world. Get ready... this is just the beginning!
